Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

  • 1 24-oz can cooked beef with juices or 1 1/2 lbs. cooked ground beef
  • 1 small carrot, diced
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 1/4 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/3 cup barbeque sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp flour

Instructions:

  1. Spray non-stick cooking spray into a pan.
  2. Add carrot, onion, and bell pepper. Cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add can of beef with juices (or cooked ground beef), barbecue sauce, and ketchup. Break up meat, stir, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add 1-2 Tbsp of flour, depending on the consistency you like.
  5. Simmer mixture for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Serve over rice or make into a sloppy joe sandwich. Enjoy!

Ingredientes:

  • 1 lata de 24 oz de carne de res cocida con jugos o 1 1/2 lbs. carne molida cocida
  • 1 zanahoria pequeña, cortada en cubitos
  • 1/2 cebolla pequeña, cortada en cubitos
  • 1/4 pimiento morrón, cortado en cubitos
  • 1/3 taza de salsa barbacoa
  • 1/3 taza de salsa de tomate
  • 1 cucharadita de ajo en polvo
  • 1/2 cucharadita de tomillo
  • 1/2 cucharadita de sal
  • 1/2 cucharadita de pimienta
  • 2 cucharadas de harina

Instrucciones:

  1. Rocíe aceite en aerosol antiadherente en una sartén.
  2. Agregue la zanahoria, la cebolla y el pimiento morrón. Cocine a fuego medio durante 6-8 minutos.
  3. Agregue la lata de carne con jugos (o carne molida cocida), salsa barbacoa y ketchup. Rompa la carne, revuelva y cocine por 15 minutos, revolviendo ocasionalmente.
  4. Agregue 1-2 cucharadas de harina, dependiendo de la consistencia que desee.
  5. Cocine a fuego lento la mezcla durante 5-10 minutos.
  6. Sirva sobre arroz o conviértalo en un sándwich. ¡Disfrutar!
